RUT 95x and operator selection

Hi everyone
I’d like a quick support on how the operator selection is made by the router.
We’re using multi operators SIMs and contract in France, so have the possibility to connect to the 4 operators available (Orange, Bouygues, SFR, Free).
But in some case, the routeur connects via, for example Free.
I check the signal, and yes, Free is a good option for the signal.
But it is well know in France that Free can provide a degraded service depending on many parameters (congestion typically) and so on even with a good signal, QOS is not provided.

I’m not looking for high datarates, but for stability like any IOT system.

To avoid this, but case by case, I will force another operator (MANUAL+AUTO + Orange for example)

Is there anyway to ask the router to select the best operator in term of quality ? (for example, test them all, then select the best mix between signal strengh, average packet lost, etc …)?

Else what are the solution you use? In some case, blacklist an operator ?

Or can I script something with gsmctl ?

PS : I always manually found a solution but want to improve its automatisation.

Thanks and BR

Hello,

Our devices are connecting automatically to the operator providing the strongest signal.

If you prefer, you can manually select operators from the available list, and you also have the option to create whitelists or blacklists of operators to control connections. You can find more information on this process here: Manual Operator Selection.

Best regards,

Hi Marija
