RUT 951: no Internet for Hotspot

RUT951 with latest RUT9M_R_00.07.04.4

I configured the hotspot, the access to the external wifi (as client) and the failover.
But the hotspot users don’t have access the Internet.

I don’t have a SIM card at the moment, does this router not work without a SIM card??
What could be wrong ?

Hello,

Could you please check if you did the following:

Set up your RUT951 in ‘client mode’ and connect it to the access point. This can be done in Network → Wireless by pressing ‘SCAN’ button.
Create a new 2.4Ghz WiFi instance. You can do this in Network → Wireless. This process will create a new wireless interface.
After creating the new interface, go to Services → Hotspot. Here, assign the newly created interface to your Hotspot.

If you are still experiencing issues, could you please provide additional details?

Are you attempting to connect your RUT951 to a standard WiFi Access Point or a Hotspot?
Does your RUT951 has internet access when it’s connected to the WiFi access point in client mode, or is the problem only occurring when devices are connected to the RUT951’s Hotspot?
Can you show your hotspot and wireless configurations?

Ocean Love is my Wifi, and D-Marin Guest is the Marina wifi

step 3, can’t find anything with : Services → Hotspot
where Do I have to add it?

The Marina wifi is a standard access point, of course it’s working If I connect my laptop or mobile directly.
The RUT951 is connected because I see Rx and Tx

A ping 8.8.8.8 from the router gui is not working, even the router looks like connected to the Marina wifi.

Perhaps the Guest network that you are connecting to requires authentication on the Captive portal?

Perhaps you could try enabling the option Disable Inactivity Polling and disabling the option Disassociate On Low Acknowledgement in the advanced WiFi client interface options and check if that helps?
Additionally, could you try editing the D-Marin Guest interface in Network → Interfaces → General and in the advanced options add 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 as the custom DNS servers?

I changed both and added DNS servers.
makes no difference,
the router is connected to the Marina wifi and the router can’t ping 8.8.8.8
