rtu241 what carriers does the eSim support? What are the data rates etc.

Device only have eSIM support, you yourself need to buy eSIM profile from wanted operators, and install into device. You can buy either from your locals if they have eSIM plans or global, like
Saily, Sparks.travel, etc.

If an antenna is listed as compatible with the RUT241, it should also be compatible with the 240, as the RUT241 is the successor.
Is support still required for this case, or have your questions been answered?

I am trying to specify a system to work on an industrial ethernet system i.e. Ethernet IP/ ProfiNet etc.

Profinet is only on switches TSW212 for example (you can find the devices here www.teltonika-networks.com)
When you say “Ethernet IP” I’m not sure what you mean, clarify please.
If you’re referring to RMS, manual is in the Wiki: RMS - Teltonika Networks Wiki
Ethernet IP is an Allen Bradley industrial Ethernet protocol similar to ProfiNet. On the link above I do not see where they say what protocol are supported.
Here is an example of a gateway but it does not have eSIM capabilities.
