RTSP protocol is missing in RUT241

Dear Team,

I have installed a Teltonika RUT241 router at a site to access a Hikvision camera. While I can successfully access the camera’s GUI through RMS using a standard 4G SIM card, but I am unable to view the live video stream.

It seems the RTSP protocol is not available under the remote management settings. Could you please guide me on how to configure the RUT241 or the RMS settings to enable live view functionality.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

For accessing a Hikvision camera’s live stream remotely, we have a detailed configuration guide available on our wiki: Hikvision: Remote Camera Access.

Please note that RTSP is primarily used when viewing the live stream via media player software. To enable this functionality, you will need to configure an additional port forward for the RTSP port, as described in the guide.

Best regards,

Dear Martynas,

As i gone through the document however my 4G sim card doesn’t assign any public IP address. So is there any alternate way to access the camera live view from RMS.

Hello,

If your 4G SIM card does not assign a public IP address, it is still possible to access your camera’s live view remotely through RMS VPN Hub.

For detailed instructions and a configuration example, please refer to this video guide:
How to Set Up an RMS VPN Hub.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Dear Martyans

I followed the same steps but i am not able to reach the camera also not able to ping the camera. as i am getting ip from VPN Hub and VPN shows connected. also i tried different router like RUT200 and RUT241 with latest firmware for both the Routers.
