RTC in RUT956 and RUT955

Hi,

I am using a router RUT956 and a router RUT955 for a project. The two routers are working in environments without reliable internet connectivity. Do they have an internal RTC to sync the system datetime or they rely only on the NTP server? How can I check if the RTC is well configured?

Hello Federico,

Teltonika routers, including the RUT956 and RUT955, do not have an internal Real-Time Clock for syncing the system datetime. They rely on an NTP server to synchronize the system time.

To check if the NTP client service is properly configured:

  1. Log in to the router’s WebUI.
  2. Navigate to System → Administration → Date & Time.
  3. Ensure that the Time servers are correctly configured.

If the router cannot reach an NTP server due to lack of internet connectivity, the system time will not be accurate.
