Hi all,
We need to connect RS485 Modbus RTU devices to Modbus TCP over a serial-to-Modbus TCP interface, with two IP addresses assigned for two different systems. All devices are connected locally within an intranet. Is this configuration possible with the RUT906 model, or are there alternative solutions? If anyone has implemented a similar setup, your suggestions would be appreciated.
Network Diagram attached for ref.
Hello,
Yes, this configuration is possible with the RUT906.
Additionally, we have a configuration example for similar use cases in our wiki, which might be helpful for your implementation. You can find the details here: Data transfer from Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU Gateway
If you have any further questions or need assistance with the configuration, feel free to reach out.
Best regards,
Thanks for your reply.
We need two ip address separate port
Dual Ethernet Ports: Allow two separate IP addresses, supporting simultaneous data collection by two PC. RUT906 is suitable to working?
We need two separate ip address for Gateway ( 192.168.1.101 & 192.168.2.102)
Is it possible in Teletonika model configuration two ip address?
Hello,
Yes, it is possible to configure two separate IP addresses for the Gateway on a Teltonika router.
To achieve this, you can create a VLAN with the second gateway IP (192.168.2.1). Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Create a VLAN:
Navigate to Network → VLAN and create a VLAN interface for the second network (e.g., VLAN 2) with the desired IP range.
Example configuration guide: VLAN Setup.
- Assign Static IP:
Assign the static IP address (192.168.2.102) for your second Modbus TCP client either through Network → DHCP → Static Leases or directly within the client’s network settings.
