Router hardware version & supported bands

Hello,
where I can check with router hardware version I have?

On this page I see that there are different hardware version regarding to the region.
In my case I need specifically B28. One of my routers RUT955 has it (it is possible to select in Mobile tab) while other doesn’t have.

Hi,

To check the product code, follow these simple steps:

  • Access the Command Line Interface (CLI) through the device Web UI by navigating to System → Maintenance → CLI.
  • Enter your credentials. The login is “root,” and the password is “password” for your router.
  • Execute the command “mnf_info -n,” and the output will display the product code of your device.

Thank you I just checked my RUT955 devices. Their hardware versions are:

  • RUT955T03XXX
  • RUT955003XXX
As I understand from the documentation both T***** and 0***** versions are for Europe and they don’t support B28.
I was also checking if I can force specific band in the router UI:

I noticed that I can do so in the RUT955T03XXX and I’m confused why

Hi,

The RUT955TXXXXXX module should not have support for B28. However, it is equipped with the Quectel EC25-EU, which can support this band. The device you have must have a custom product code with B28 unlocked, to know for sure I would need a full product code. There might be a naming issue causing confusion too.

As the RUT955 has reached its end-of-life cycle, the alternative closed device that supports B28 is the RUT956 Global version.

Best regards,

Marijus
