RMS update on July 29th 7:00 UTC

Dear community,

We will be performing a planned RMS update on July 29th 7:00 UTC.

Impact: During the update, users may experience temporary performance degradation across different system services, meaning some actions may take multiple attempts to succeed.

This update is part of ongoing improvements to ensure service stability and performance. Our team will closely monitor the process to minimize disruption.

HI Marija,
if there are impacts to the service how long are the expected to last?

All the best,
J Dev

Hello @J_Dev,

Unfortunately, I don’t have that information at the moment.

The update may take up to one day to complete.

We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Best regards,

Currently 21:00 July 29 UTC, IS or should the RMS update from 07:00 July 29 be complete and normal? oVPN was connecting through 24 hours ago but currently the client shows as connected but devices unable to connect/route through to the devices?

Hello @Mattk,

Could you kindly let me know whether the issue still persists, or if it has been resolved?

Best regards,

Hello Marija,

I had to power down this particular system earlier today but hopefully should be back on line later tomorrow and should know some further details. However just before it was shutdown I was able to VPN to one of the devices but still nothing on the other one, both are on the same router. I did try removing and re-adding the non working VPN (that no longer worked) but no change, installed OpenVPN on another machine, same result. I will get back when the site is active again.

No have been unable to connect using VPN to this one device which is rather odd considering the other device connects ok? This is a RUT241 with a device connected by Ethernet to the LAN port and a second device which connects by Wi-Fi. The cabled device is fine, it’s the Wi-Fi device that no longer connects via VPN since around last Thursday.

Also this is a smart device plugged into a logger, via RMS can open/connect the device (itself) but to access the underlying logger requires VPN (using the same IP, different port) for which I have used OpenVPN Connect and it did work but have been unable to connect since Friday. The response is TCP/IP Communication error found, check settings etc. Have been through the VPN process/profile creation from scratch several times, it’s just this one having issues.

** Solved. Was not able to have 2 VPN’s Enabled in RMS even though only 1 was connected at a time. Disable the one not required in RMS and the other VPM connects and functions normal.

Not sure what the trigger was end of last week as have simply had both VPN’s enabled up until then and connect/disconnect the one required as required.

Hello @Mattk,

I’m glad to hear that the issue has been resolved!

If you have any other questions or need any further assistance in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best regards,
