RMS update breaks VNC Remote Access

Since the RMS Frontend update this afternoon I found 2 issues, where one is quite critical:

  1. VNC Remoter Access doesn’t work anymore. It keeps loading, but no screen. NLA is enabled in our case.
  2. Modem temperatures are not always correct. Instead of 32 degrees is shows 320 degrees. But only at about 5% of the routers.

Is there a way back to the ols interface to bypass the VNC problem for now?

Hello,

  1. We are currently analyzing this issue and looking into any issues that may have arisen after the system update. Are you still experiencing issues with VNC? If so, please clarify, does this issue happen when you are opening the link in the RMS window or in a separate tab (or both)?
  2. This part has to do with an update to how the devices send information to the system. At the moment, starting from firmware version 7.11, information is gathered using the device API, which has changed the format of certain parameters, which includes temperature. The RnD team are currently looking into ways of mitigating any unexpected values.
  1. Thanks for the quick reply. The VNC issue seems to be solved for now.
  2. Since RUT955 comes with older firmware, does it provide all metrics?

Currently, all firmware versions below 07.11 (including all current RUT955 versions) use the old method of gathering information, therefore the format of the parameters remain unchanged. Versions below 07.11 also do not have full Custom Parameter support that was added with today’s update - https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RMS_Monitoring_templates.

Hello @DHL-Randy,

Could you please confirm if your issue has been resolved, or if you still require any assistance with it?

Best regards,
