RMS Remote Access: Add additional Authentication for exposed HTTP/HTTPS

At The moment you can specify a Link duration for generated Links in RMS Remote Access.

With this Link you can access the exposed Pages from everywhere without further authentication.

Would it be possible to additionally protect the generated link with an RMS login, so that the user of the link must at least have logged in to RMS beforehand?

Good afternoon,

I can confirm, that currently the generated link can be accessed by anyone that link is passed to, and the timeframe for the link validity has not passed.

It is recommended to use a strong router password, as even with the link, you still need to know the password to be able to access the device.

Hi Arturas,
are there any plans to add additional authentication to generated links in the future? I think of an additional switch beside the validity date to force authentication for that link.

For us this would improve security enormous, since we use this feature to expose visualization pages of PLCs for our service staff, which are in gerneral not protected by passwords if you don’t edit something (editing is password protected). So everyone who knows this link can have a look at the pages.
