Hi! All off a sudden one of my devices cannot connect to RMS. I recently set up WAN failover on it, and since that time server can’t authenticate this device. I tried to go back from wired connection to LTE but it didn’t have impact on RMS. Have anyone had similar experience? My device is RUT241.
Greetings,
And under the device details, what do the logs show? Does the device attempt a connection to the system at all? If you have a SIM card that supports SMS messages, what does the output device_password rms_status
return? (Instead of device_password enter the WebUI password of the device)
Could you potentially follow this Wiki guide and check everything off just to make sure we really did try everything? Why is my device offline / not activated on RMS? - Teltonika Networks Wiki

M.
Hello.
RUT241 attempts connection but server denies it. Message I get on WebUI/RMS is that the server refuses connection. The device may be blocked or unidentified. RMS status is down.
I tried to ping teltonika servers from this device with success. I tried to backup settings from a few days ago when all was good. It didn’t change anything.

Hello,
Could you possibly try to:
- Disable the RMS service under Services → Cloud Solutions → RMS → Connection Type: Disabled
- Unregister the device from the RMS system
- Re-enable the RMS service under the same tab as in step 1
- Re-register the device and press “Connect” in the WebUI.
Let me know if this helps,
M.
Hi,
It worked like a charm. Device is connected again. Still has 5y RMS service active (it was my concern if I lose it when I unregister a device). Thanks a lot.
