Hi there,
the device configuation templates are firmware version and config file version dependant - so far so good.
You can not download any configuration to a device which doesn’t have the exact firmware version as the configuration template.
Since the firmware is changing really fast, the configuration templates do have a really short TTL ![]()
Every time the firmware changes i download the configuration template and change the firmware version and configuration file version in the file an upload it again for testing. Most of the time the template works as expected.
So my question now is. Can you implement a feature in RMS which converts a template to a new firmware / config file version and give a short feedback if something failed - like when applying a template to device?
This would really help and save a lot of time when configuring devices with templates.
