Is it possible to have redundant power supply in any Switch family or Gateway family and get fault indication from it?
Good afternoon,
The unmanaged teltonika industrial switches (All except TSW202; TSW212) can utilize a dedicated power supply designed to provide both primary and backup power. The Teltonika EU 2-Pin Powersupply 130W is specifically mentioned as offering a stable and backup power source for the TSW200, ensuring uninterrupted operation even in the event of a primary power failure. This setup is designed to maintain network stability and prevent downtime.
Gateway Family:
For Teltonika gateways, such as the TRB142 (Also the TSW202; TSW212), redundancy is achieved using the Teltonika BAT120 uninterrupted power supply (UPS). The BAT120 contains internal batteries and can supply backup power for up to 6 hours if the main power is lost. This allows continuous operation of the gateway during outages.
Fault Indication and Alerts
The BAT120 UPS is equipped with a digital output that signals when the main power supply is lost. When connected to a compatible Teltonika gateway (e.g., TRB142), this signal can trigger custom alerts. The gateway can be configured to notify users of a power outage through SMS, HTTP requests, or email.
All switches apart from the TSW202; TSW212 (Managed) cannot be configured for the fault indication and alerts by themselwes.
