Public IP Passthrough 2 gets wrong address when device is active

Good day

Continuing with the following task: Public IP Passthrough gets wrong address when device is active

I tried it with 2 minutes, unfortunately the downtime is between an average of 1 minute and a maximum of 2 minutes. That is far too long, can’t you set the lease time lower?

Regards Thomas

Hello,

Try using UCI commands on CLI. You can do so by accessing CLI via 3rd party apps, or you can navigate to System > Maintenance > CLI on WebUI:

Login: root
Password: your admin password used to access the router

Enter following commands:

uci set network.mob1s1a1.leasetime=15s

uci commit

service network restart

Please let me know if it worked for you.

Kind regards,
Lukas

hi lukas

I have noticed strange behavior and that in the original state.
Status>Network>LAN
The least time always counts from 1m:58s - 1m and then starts again at 1m:58s

I have now adjusted the parameters as described and the uci set dhcp.lan.leasetime=15s as well.
But nothing has changed under Status>Network>LAN.

Hello @tom

Yes, it appears that the lease time is capped at a minimum of 2 minutes, regardless of any changes made in the configuration files. I will investigate further, but I cannot guarantee that it will be possible to adjust this setting.

Kind Regards,

@LukasV When making your enquiries, please can you get a response as to when this behaviour in Passthrough and Bridge mode will be fixed.

This same subject is currently being talked about at RUTX50 - Passthrough, DHCP & (assumed) Firmware Issue - #9 by OffGridBeachBoy

Looking forward to a resolution date.
