OTD140 Mobile ESM reject cause: Insufficient resources

Hi,
I’m experiencing an issue with my Teltonika OTD140 router. I keep getting the error:
Mobile ESM reject cause: Insufficient resources.

My SIM card is active on the router and it even has a public IP address, but I can’t figure out what this problem means or how to resolve it.

I’ve searched online and checked community forums, but I haven’t found any useful information.

Could you please advise me on how to fix this?

Thank you in advance!

Hello there,

From the research I’ve done - this looks to be firmware-related. Could you please confirm what firmware version you have on your OTD140? If it isn’t the latest (or at least the stable version), could you please try upgrading it? Here’s the download link for the firmwares: OTD140 Firmware Downloads - Teltonika Networks Wiki

Regards,
M.

Hello, the version of my firmware is OTD140_R_00.07.19.1_WEBUI.bin

Hello,

Thanks for letting me know of this. Could you also confirm whether the functionality of your mobile connection is stable & working and it’s just that it’s giving you the error message?

Regards,
M.

It seems to me that my SIM is running, and it looks like it’s working; the error shows up, but I also tried going back to version 18.3 and it doesn’t change.

Hello,

I’d like to collect the troubleshoot log file from your device; therefore, I have sent you a form to fill out, which you will receive in your e-mail inbox that you have registered your account with in the forums. In the Ticket ID field of the form, please enter the ID of this thread, which is 16504.

Thank you,
M.

Okay, I did it. Now what should I do after I have filled out the form?

Hi,

Kindly wait for me to reach out to you through e-mails, let’s continue our conversation there once I do so.

Regards,
M.

Done, I sent the file by email

Can you reply to me by email?

I have replied to you 2 times so far. Have you not received any of the emails?

Regards,
M.

I received the emails, I replied saying ok, thanks, I will do it, and if you could tell me what the problem is so I know what to say to the operator

Hello,

I’ve sent this reply to you privately, but I would also like to share it in case anyone has a similar issue in the future:

After consulting with the R&D, the issue seems to be Network-reject related, which comes directly from the operator. Therefore, the issue must be resolved by contacting them.

Regards,
M.
