OpenVPN stops working after a period of time

Good afternoon,

my company is operating multiple Teltonika RUT models (X11, X50, X09). One of our X50 has a problem with OpenVPN after upgrading the software a few weeks ago:

2400 Fri May 2 15:19:03 2025 daemon.notice openvpn(inst1)[9844]: dco_get_peer_stats: netlink reports object not found, ovpn-dco unloaded?
2401 Fri May 2 15:19:03 2025 daemon.notice openvpn(inst1)[9844]: dco_get_peer_stats: failed to send netlink message: No such file or directory (-2)

Every newer firmware since then did not fix the issue. OpenVPN connection works for 1 hour, or something like that, and suddenly stops. There are multiple threads for this issue here, e.g. this one.

What is the progress on this problem? Your mentioned workaround also does not work, same problems as in this thread.

Best regards,

The issue was resolved by adding the disable-dco option directly to the client’s OpenVPN configuration file (.ovpn).

This can be done via the WebUI by editing the OpenVPN client configuration, following the example shown in the screenshots below:
