I have a number of RUT300 devices at my customers site. An OpenVPN client is setup on each RUT300 and it works perfectly fine, except on the latest customer setup. The VPN-connection goes down every second hour and reconnects again after approx one hour of disconnection. This can be seen in the CloudConnexa log. However, the router itself reports an uptime of several days for the OpenVPN connection.

From the RUT300 OpenVPN client log the following log entry is repeated continously:
daemon.notice openvpn(KiiSC)[3003]: dco_get_peer_stats: failed to send netlink message: No such file or directory (-2)

As the workaround refer to, I don’t have the Extra options field available. Attempt to edit openvpn file as suggested through SSH gives me permission denied (connecting as default admin user). I’m not a linux expert, can you give me any directions on how to be able to edit the file?
If you are using a configuration file to set up VPN, the file should already include the necessary option to disable DCO. Please ensure this option is added to the file before uploading it to the router’s OpenVPN configuration. After that, test again to see if the issue persists.
I tried to add the disable-dco option in my ovpn file under the client section:

But that gives the following error in the log:
daemon.err openvpn(Test)[3375]: Options error: Unrecognized option or missing or extra parameter(s) in /var/etc/openvpn-Test.conf:22: disable-dco (2.5.3)
The option should be list extra 'disable-dco'. Could you please confirm if you have added this? Also, please let me know if you are still experiencing the same issue.
Adding list extra 'disable-dco' under the client section in the ovpn-file gives the following error and doesn’t connect to OpenVPN at all:
