Hi. Can you advise please on the most efficient way, using the RUT200, to configure opening up a ssh and web GUI access to the router on alternate ports and forward all other traffic to a connected LAN device?
I’ve used the Access Control section to configure alternate ports for HTTPS WEB GUI and ssh access to the router and applied it and I can see that has resulted in the entries for these services being enabled in the Firewall section.
I then created a rule in the Port Forwarding section to route all incoming WAN traffic to the LAN device, expecting that this would have lower priority than the HTTPS and ssh router access rules but when I enabled that I couldnt get access to the router remotely anymore. I’m guessing here that the Port Forward rule is taking effect before the remote access firewall rules?
I can get this to work by adding more port forward rules for all the explicit ports I want to forward to the LAN device but that is a pain to add new ones each time I need a new service. I am sure there must be a correct way to just send everything else to the router? Can you suggest please?
