Is there any possibility to turn on mobile data on a RUTX50 remote when I can’t get SMS to work.?Accidentally turned off mobile data remotely.
Hello,
There are a few options for turning mobile data on on your RUTX50. I recommend checking our wiki page for detailed instructions and more information: Disable Mobile Data - Teltonika Networks Wiki
Let me know if you have more questions or require assistance!
Best Regards,
Thanks for replying, but I can’t log on to WEBUI when it says it’s offline.
You don’t need the WebGUI as it says in the documentation how to enable mobile data via SMS (last sentence):
“By using the mobileoff SMS Utilities command. Simply send an SMS message to the router’s SIM card with the text <router_password> mobileoff. Replace <router_password> with your router’s admin password (for example, admin01 mobileoff).
You can later turn the mobile data connection back ON the same way with the mobileon command.”
Got it, I understand. I believe the best course of action would be to send an SMS command ‘mobileon’ to the router to turn on mobile data again. However, since you mentioned difficulties with SMS functionality, I’d like to remind you that SMS utilities typically require authorization by default, such as using your admin (WebUI) password.
Therefore, when sending an SMS command, it should follow the format ‘password mobileon’. Additionally, authentication methods may vary, including by serial number or a custom password.
Also, consider that SMS utilities may be configured to only work from allowed numbers.
Please attempt to send the SMS to turn mobile data back on, keeping in mind the information I’ve mentioned, and let me know how it goes.
Best Regards,
