NTP001 GPS signal loss - clock unsynchronized oftenly

Hello Guys,

I’ve recently started using an NTP001 server with a GPS antenna installed outside the building. After a few days(sometimes after 2 days, sometimes after 8 days), the server loses its GPS signal and gets out of sync. It only resynchronizes after a server reboot. The only relevant log I see at the time of unsynchronization is: Thu Jun 19 03:25:40 2025 daemon.warn ntp[1777]: no peer for too long, server running free now.
When this issue happens:

  • NTP001 is running, reachable
  • gpsd service is running
  • port6 which i think is the GPS port, is link: port:6 link:up speed:1000baseT full-duplex

Do you think that there could be an issue with the device? I’d ask you first if you received same kind of claims, before i send it back to the seller.
