We bought a couple RUT901 devices that we are testing for use in a new project.
These will go out to hundreds of customers and must work on their different LANs as failover units. We would prefer to have a base config we can use almost everywhere to simplify administration.
They must act as a basic failover device, so if wired internet connection fails, 4G steps in. There are 2 locally attached devices that both use DHCP. Really very basic. I have experience from another project where we used hundreds of RUT240/241 in a similar setup, and never had this crazy issue before:
The WAN connection is unstable - like, unusable. Connection through RMS is a pain, and the attached devices lose connection all the time. Even before we try and configure anything.
On 4G the connection is as expected.
Firmware is latest. We even went to switching to another internet provider because we found that the old one used VLAN tagging so we thought that was giving us the error… but error is still present
Im not a network expert but have a good understanding of most things. But I must admit im stuck here…
