I use the RTU241 at a remote site with Wireguard VPN for about a year without too many issues after a FW update. I was on 7.13.3, saw the update to 7.14.3 and allowed it to proceed. The modem rebooted and I could SMS status etc but it would not connect to 4G data. Tried reboot etc but no joy. So unfortunately for me the new Firmware has been a bit of a disaster and will now have to wait till i am back on-site to downgrade back 7.13.3 to be able to get back online again.
When is check the device status
WAN IP - NO-WAN-LINK
Data Connection State - Connected
Network type - LTE
Was fine before FW update
So it looks like the issue is the new FW does not negotiate a WAN IPv4 address so the VPN tunnel could not work.

Could you confirm whether the issue is still present or has already been resolved? If it was resolved, could you tell us whether you downgraded the firmware version or forced the PDP type to IPv4 on your interface?

Hi, I downgraded to 13.4 and it worked fine. Before I did that however I noticed the WAN IP for the mobile connection only had an IPv6 address. After the downgrade both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses were present.
I see, thank you. We’ll do further testing with WG on the latest firmware to check the behaviour, since there seems to have been an influx of threads regarding WireGuard.
