No LAN Internet Connection on PC via SWM 280 Switch (Works fine with another switch)

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing an issue with my network setup and hope someone here can point me in the right direction.

My Setup

  • Router: Teltonika router (RutOS)

  • Switch: Teltonika SWM 280

  • End Device: PC

The Problem

When I connect my PC to the internet through the SWM 280 switch (Topology: PC → SWM 280 → Router), the PC shows no LAN internet connection.

What Works (Troubleshooting Done):

  • Direct Connection: If I connect the PC directly to the Teltonika router, the internet works perfectly.

  • Different Switch: If I replace the SWM 280 with a different Teltonika switch (using the exact same cables and ports), the PC gets internet access immediately.

The router definitely has an active internet connection, and the cables seem to be fine. The issue seems to be isolated specifically to the SWM 280 switch.

The physical link lights on the switch ports are blinking, but it seems like IP addresses are not being assigned properly, or traffic is being blocked. I also noticed before, that internal LAN speed was super slow.

Has anyone encountered this before? Could this be a default VLAN misconfiguration, or is there a specific setting I need to change in the WebUI for this particular model?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: Teltonika SWM 280 Firmware was updated to newest version, but the device still deosn’t work.
