Hi There, we have recently purchased over 200 RUT units and we have been using No-IP for some as we need a static system for some machine we use.
with this particular RUT951 it just wont connect. i set up the Noip as i have always and i see the ip address in the RUT DDNS matches the IP in NOIP bjut i cannot connect to it.
i do see the IP in the WAN on the RUT is different to the other 2. is this normal/?
Could you confirm if remote HTTP/HTTPS access is enabled under System → Administration → Access Control?
Regarding the different IP addresses you mentioned, could you clarify if you’re referring to the wired WAN and mobile WAN IPs? If so, it’s normal for them to differ since they are typically assigned by different network interfaces.
Additionally, could you provide a screenshot of the Network → WAN page? Please ensure to hide any sensitive information such as public IP addresses, etc.
So I am taking about the mobile ip address is one thing but the ddns address is different. Looking at the other ones I have set up the mobile ip address is the same as the ddns, then when I sync the no ip it should pick up the same address but for some reason the ddns address is not. So when I try to access the rut unit using the assigned no ip it actually directs me to my home modem which is completely different.
ok for some reason the DDNS package on the RUT does not use the ip address from the RUT. instead it is collecting the IP address from the NOip system which is incorrect as the RUT should push its IP to No Ip and No Ip will set the ip to match but somehow its using the IP from my home system and when i try to use the DDNS ip address it goes to log into the RUT but then switches to my home moden log in.
Thank you for providing more details. Could you also please provide:
A screenshot of your DDNS No-IP setup (with public IPs, hostnames, domains hidden);
A screenshot from Network → WAN page (with only the first two WAN IPs octects).
If I understand your description correctly, you are using a SIM card with a dynamic public IP and need to remotely access the RUT951 when the mobile WAN IP changes.
Could you also try the following:
Change the Mobile WAN priority to be higher than the wired WAN in the Network settings and see if that helps?
Furthermore, what firmware version is installed on your RUT951? If possible, try factory resetting the router and reconfiguring the DDNS from scratch.
Additionally, you can refer to our detailed No-IP DDNS configuration guide, which might be helpful if you haven’t reviewed it yet.
Let me know if this helps or if further troubleshooting is needed.
