No internet connection on wired WAN (VLAN 802.1Q) after upgrade to RUTX_R_00.07.08

Hello,
I had to downgrade RUTX12 from RUTX_R_00.07.08 to RUTX_R_00.07.07.3 because some new default setting in RUTX_R_00.07.08 caused “no internet connection”, but WAN interface was connected to the ISP with no errors. The WAN (wired) is an interface based VLAN, type 802.1Q.

Note: internet was still accesible using mobile WAN instead of wired WAN.

Any idea?

Hello,

I recommend reconfiguring the Wired WAN settings as they were in the previous version and checking again. Sometimes, configuration issues can arise when upgrading between major versions, causing settings not to transfer completely in certain edge cases.

I have the exact same issue after upgrade to 7.08 from 7.07.3, my wired WAN is of type PPPoE and shows as connected, but there is not ipv4 connectivity, just ipv6. My mobile WAN’s both work fine. I already did a configuration reset (not factory reset as I needed the RMS to be preserved) with the hopes that redoing my configuration will solve the issue, but the behavior is always the same. I guess I will also have to downgrade since Eusebio managed to restore his wired wan like this. Please report this to your developers as something is obviously wrong with this new version but most likely most poeple do no use wire wan on these devices, or the ones who do did not yet update to 7.08 .

I confirm that downgrading to 7.07.3 also fixed my issue. The main difference I noticed is that on 7.08 once my PPPoE connects I see the WAN IP and mac, but no gateway populated, while on the 7.07.3 the gateway is populated, explaining why there was no IPV4 routing.

I have RUTX08. I have same issue with the latest version. My provider is using PPPOE dual stack ipv4 and ipv6. Ipv4 doesn’t have gateway in latest version. I downgraded to 7.07.3 and Internet is working both ipv4 and ipv6. With 07.08 not. I can test beta version if exist.
