I’ve tried resetting the router and checking the SIM card is ok and there is reception in the area. Been through trouble shooting with Teletonika but it reverts to no internet connection and I it won’t load with my username and password. I’m not technically minded so dont know what else to try.
Greetings,
Thank you for the information. As you have already reset the router, checked the SIM card and confirmed that there is mobile reception in the area, we would like you to carry out a few additional checks.
First, you will need to connect your computer or phone directly to the router. You can do this in either of the following ways:
Option 1 – Wi-Fi
- On your computer or phone, open the Wi-Fi settings.
- Look for the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) shown on the label/sticker on the router.
- Select this network and enter the Wi-Fi password shown on the router label.
- Once connected, open your web browser and type the router’s IP address into the address bar at the top of the browser. If the IP address has not been changed, it should be 192.168.1.1. Press Enter to open the router’s administration page.
Option 2 – Ethernet cable
- Connect an Ethernet/network cable from the router’s LAN port to the Ethernet port on your computer.
- Wait a few moments for the computer to establish a connection.
- Open your web browser and go to the router’s administration page: open your web browser and type the router’s IP address into the address bar at the top of the browser. If the IP address has not been changed, it should be 192.168.1.1. Press Enter to open the router’s administration page
When the router login page appears, please enter the administrator username and password. If you have never changed the administrator password, please use the credentials printed on the router.
Once you are logged in, please carry out the following checks:
1. Check the mobile connection
Go to:
Status → Network → Mobile
Please check and make a note of the following information:
- Whether the SIM card is shown as inserted/detected
- Data connection type
- Mobile/network operator
- Any warnings or errors displayed on this page
2. Test the Internet connection
Go to:
System → Maintenance → Troubleshoot → Diagnostics
Find the Ping diagnostic field.
First, enter:
8.8.8.8
Then click Perform and make a note of the result.
After that, replace 8.8.8.8 with:
Click Perform again and make a note of the result.
Please send us the information from the tests performed. Screenshots would also be helpful, if possible, but please make sure that you do not include or share any private or sensitive information.
Once we have this information, we can continue troubleshooting and advise you on the next steps.
Kind regards,
T.
