MPTCP on RUTX50

Hi there!

In our setup, all devices have a modem, which we possibly would like to replace. Normally every device has their own modem and we connect through that (through an openvpn connection). We know the 4G/5G can be spotty on some locations, and our protocols are real-time enough that this can cause problems. Sometimes the devices and the modems are interconnected in a local wired network. We want to make use of this locally wired network as a redundancy, since this means we have multiple modems on the network. We stumbled upon MPTCP, and we noticed that it is standard in more recent Linux kernels, and it would be pretty easy to implement server side. Does the latest RUTX50 support an MPTCP setup? If not, are there alternatives available?

Thanks!

Hello,

After doing some research, I’ve found that from the available MPTCP solutions we have, the only one that was tested by us and is confirmed to be working is Bondix: Bondix by SIMA - Teltonika Networks Wiki

For the time being, there are no other solutions that are documented by us to be working, but you’re always free to test them out!

Kind regards,
M.
