Buenos dias, hemos adquirido un TRB 160.
No nos funciona como modem.
Nos podeis ayudar?
Saludos.
Good afternoon,
The TRB160 is not a plug-and-play modem. It requires network and mobile parameter configuration to work properly.
To get the TRB160 working correctly as a modem, please check and configure the following:
Make sure the SIM card is properly inserted and the APN (Access Point Name) is configured according to your mobile operator to enable internet access.
The TRB160 supports modes like APN Bridge Passthrough, which allows the device to act as a modem and pass data traffic through. Ensure this option is enabled if you want to use it as a modem.
Check the LED indicators to confirm the device has signal and is connected to the mobile network.
The TRB160 manages DHCP, firewall, and routing. Verify these settings allow IP assignment and internet access.
Ensure the device firmware is up to date for optimal stability and compatibility.
Regards,
Arturas
Hi there,
Yes, that is correct.
In Passthrough mode, the TRB160 disables its DHCP server by default, so your downstream device must be set to obtain an IP address automatically.

Buenos días Arturas.
Con este tipo de configuración me puedo conectar con el cable USB sin el cable de RED para que me funcione el modem?
Saludos Juan.
Hi there,
The TRB160 USB port is primarily designed for power supply and data communication , but it does not function as a plug-and-play USB modem that connects directly to a PC for internet access. The main and stable internet connectivity is provided through the Gigabit Ethernet port, which is the primary WAN interface.

Hi there
Edit and addition to the previous comment:
From my understanding, you will be using the device with passthrough mode. Therefore via USB-C you will still be able to reach and supply power to trb lan ip.
Hope this helps.
