thnx. got it and replied.

Hi Teltonika,

The guide here shares A02 as the latest available, but Quectel has A03/A04/A05 out, and I see RUTM52 units running A04. Is there a reason A02 is the only version released for the TRB501? Given the issues several of us are seeing on A02, would it be possible to get a newer build to test?

Related question: what does the OCPU suffix in RG520NEBDCR03A02M4G_OCPU_02.200.00.000 mean here? As I understand it, OCPU stands for OpenCPU — a mode where custom application code runs directly on the modem module itself. What is that used for in the TRB501, and why is it needed? And does it mean this is a Teltonika-built image rather than a stock Quectel one, so TRB501 units will never track Quectel’s own firmware fixes, with every modem-level fix having to be re-integrated by Teltonika first?

Asking because the TRB501 has been on the market for about a year now, and it’s rather disconcerting that a product positioned as industrial still has open stability issues at this point.

Greetings,

Please have a look at the answer provided here: TRB501 - Bridge/Passthrough Mode Broken + Modem Crashes on T-Mobile 5G SA (FW 7.19.4 → 7.21) - #20 by Matas

It explains the different versioning between OCPU firmware, if you have any other questions please let me know.

Best Regards,
Justinas

Thank you for the clarification.

So if I understand correctly, there is no newer Quectel OCPU firmware available for this module - which means the issues are not likely to be resolved by a modem firmware update any time soon, and any fix would have to come from the RutOS side.

Hi, i can t have access to the download.

Is it possible to publish it again ?

Best regards,

Alexandre

Hi,

I also cannot download the file (“Page not found”). Could you please update the link as we have a client that is having to reboot the device every couple of hours.

Regards,

Peter
