Missing signal strength info

Hello Community. We have noticed that both when polling the Teltonika API and when looking at the Teltonika RMS Dashboard we have missing data points for the signal strength of the GSM connection.

We find no correlation between Router software version (we run RUT955 with versions RUT9_R_00.07.06.16 and RUT9_R_00.07.06.17), modem model… and we do not see this affecting the connectivity of the devices connected to the router.

Also, this happens to most routers in our fleet but not to all.

Is this a bug, or actually reflects something?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

Could you please check which modem version is on your RUT955 with the uneven signal strength graph? Is it the same as the one where the signal data is displayed evenly?

Additionally, have you verified that the mobile antennas for the affected devices are properly connected?

Best regards,

Hello Martynas,

Thanks for your answer. We have easy access to two routers so I run some tests but no improvements:

  • Both Routers are situated in the same room and have good internet connection.
  • Both are running the latest software for the OS and the modem.
  • Both run the same image configuration
  • One reports the signal in a continuous mode, the other has holes in the graph.

I have switched the antennas between them, and replaced the antennas of the faulty one with new ones, but the situation is still the same.

Maybe I’m missing some configuration?

Kind regards

Hello,

Thank you for the update.

Could you provide the faulty router’s internal modem firmware version found in Status → System or System → Firmware pages?

Best regards,

Hello,

Modem’s firmware is:

  • Internal modem firmware version: SLM750-V_4.57.17_EQ101

This is all the information

  • Firmware version: RUT9_R_00.07.06.17

  • Firmware build date: 2025-01-06 07:09:12

  • Internal modem firmware version: SLM750-V_4.57.17_EQ101

  • Kernel version: 5.4.259

Also, no updates appear available:

  • Firmware version: Newest version installed on the device

  • Internal modem: No update available

Hi, any updates on why this is happening?
