Migrate settings from RUT240 to TRB160

Hi,

I’m looking into replacing a RUT240 (in bridge mode) with a TRB160. The RUT240 is running RUT2_R_00.07.06.16.

Is there a way to easily migrate the settings?

For instance, can the backup from the RUT240 be loaded into the TRB160? If so, are there any considerations that I should be aware of?

About backup the RUT240 and restore at TRB160, this is not possible.

The only way to do this kind of backup… I opened both devices and checking every config/setting to do the configuration… I don’t find a tool to do this kind of migration.

As Marcelo mentioned, a backup cannot be downloaded from a router and uploaded to a gateway because they are different devices with distinct settings and configurations.

However, you can use RMS Device Configuration, which simplifies the configuration process for your devices. You can find more information about this feature on our wiki page:
