Hi all,
A camera is connected to the LAN1 interface of the rut200 device. For security purposes, I want to fix (lock) the mac address to the LAN1 interface so that no other device can be connected to this interface or no access other than the camera mac is allowed from the LAN1 interface.
Actually I want to do something like port security in Cisco.
How can I do it with easy way?
Hello,
Thanks for reaching out!
If you want to restrict internet access to specific hosts in the LAN based on their MAC addresses, you can create a traffic rule in the Network → Firewall → Traffic rules:
- In the ‘Add type’ field choose ‘Add new forward rule’.
- Enter a name of your choice for this rule.
- Choose LAN as the source zone.
- Choose WAN as the destination zone.
- Click ‘Add’.
- In the source MAC address field, choose the MAC address of the host to give access, your camera’s MAC address in that case.
- In the action field choose ‘Accept’.
After this configuration is done, only the allowed MAC addresses may reach to the internet.
Kind Regards,
Caner
