M30 Data not fast enough for TV

Hello,

my new m30 is working worse than the RUT240 I had before. The connection I can get is very slow and often breaks down. I have a medium connection to 5G at my mobile and as well a good connetion with 4G on my iPad.

I talked to the hotline already and receives the advice to put on all short antennas. I did so. Before I tried the old antennas from the 240. I felt that this was slightly better.

Additional I do not understand what RSRP, RSRQ, SINR and RSSI means to me. As well I cannot understand the graphics in the Screenshot.

I already set the router to 4g only. That did not help.

Maybe some can giv an advice what I can do next.

Regards from Hamburg

Uwe

The RSRP, RSRQ and SINR values give an indication of the quality of the mobile connection, see RSRP and RSRQ - Teltonika Networks Wiki

Altough the values are far from great, i could still achieve around 5-10 mbps and wtahc streaming televison with my RUT241 with these values, so something is wrong. Have you tried the physical sim from your phone in the M30 to rule out a bad provider.

The graphics you see, speedtest download of around 1mbps, is very low and too low to stream televison, in my experience you need around 4mbps for HD televison (720p) without hickups.

Hi there,

in the meantime I tried several things: new SIM, new antennas, locating the router at different places.

What finally seemed to help was to have another provider. I changed from Vodafone to Telekom. Now I think my question is answered.

Thanks everybody for trying to help!

Uwe

Greetings,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I’m glad to hear the issue has been resolved, it’s quite common for ISP or operator-related factors to cause the kind of behavior you experienced, especially with SIM-based connections, where signal quality can fluctuate depending on the coverage and device.

Best Regards,
Justinas
