RUTX50 - RUTX_R_00.07.19.4
Had an 18 hour outage after scheduled router reboot. Couldn’t connect to a network, and was stuck sim switching between an O2 and EE Sim which, in event logs, can see said “cellular network unavailable” multiple times.
This was over the weekend, with nobody actually on site to troubleshoot, so could only be remotely managed. We tried to text the sim to reboot, got no response multiple times throughout the day - until randomly we could connect to a network.
No power cuts or known outages in the area either - below are the device logs if these suggest a cause
Greetings,
Has this happened before, or is this the first time?
Could you also describe the router’s environment? For example, is it exposed to vibrations? I’m asking because the SIM card status changes to “not inserted"
I would also recommend enabling Ping Reboot, which allows the router to automatically reboot if it loses internet connectivity for a specified period of time. You can find more information here: RUTX50 Maintenance - Teltonika Networks Wiki

Hey thanks for getting back to me -
This is the first time its happened, we have 5 other routers setup in very similar environment and had no issues from any of those - sat on a shelf in an office, not exposed to any vibrations or interference.
Thanks for highlighting the ping reboot - I will look into that.
Greetings,
For troubleshooting purposes, we will require more sensitive information from your end, such as the troubleshoot file, which may contain passwords, public IP addresses, serial numbers, and such. To avoid leaking this information, we have sent you a form to fill out, which you will receive in your e-mail inbox that you have registered your account with in the forums. In the Ticket ID field of the form, please enter the ID of this thread, which is 17972.
Please keep in mind that the troubleshoot file should be downloaded after the issue occurs and before any reboot takes place, since that clears the necessary logs.
Best Regards,
Justinas
We have our routers configured to reboot every day at 01:00 - as when the routers had been in data session for a while (30 days+), we noticed more issues with download speed.
So the logs for this event have already been cleared from memory.
I have setup the ping reboot, which may be enough to stop this from happening again. However if this does happen again, I will submit the relevant details - thank you
