Linuxptp for teltonika

Here is information how to build whole image, but how to build package for opkg, if I need only one package - linuxptp for RUTX11?

currently i do not see package linuxptp using default opkg on router

Greetings,

Sorry, but we’re unable to provide support towards installing custom packages that are not natively supported on our routers. These may cause issues with the device that we would not be able to provide any support with. If you would still like to proceed with installing said packages, I would recommend looking for information on the OpenWRT forums online

Justinas

If you do not intend making changes then you can use openwrt feed like this

opkg --force_feeds /etc/opkg/openwrt/distfeeds.conf update
opkg --force_feeds /etc/opkg/openwrt/distfeeds.conf install linuxptp

Although I doubt that you will get it working properly without any changes.

@Justinas ok, but is any official way to add PTP to RUTX11?

@Dainius probably i’ll check. I hope this commands are safe and I avoid brick my hardware

This just forces to use OpenWrt repo for correct CPU platform. This is very much not a supported way of doing things and soft bricks are to be expected

Greetings,

We can only provide official support for features and software packages that have undergone our internal testing process. Currently, PTP is not among these supported features.

Because the linuxptp package has not been evaluated by us, we cannot guarantee its functionality, stability, or potential impact on the device. Therefore, we are unable to offer guidance on this topic.

To ensure the optimal performance and security of your router, we recommend using only officially supported packages. You can find a comprehensive list of them here: RUTX11 Package Downloads - Teltonika Networks Wiki

Justinas
