Hi,
Is it possible to see which IP or MAC addresses are connected to the LAN port via the RUT901 WEB server?
Hi,
If the devices connected to RUT901 LAN is getting the IP address automatically, then it will be shown on the WebUI under Status → Network → LAN. Parameters like Hostname, IP Address, MAC Address, and Leasetime will be displayed.
Hope this helps!
hi,
It is empty, but I know exactly which LAN1-connected item has an IP address of 192.168.1.5
If I connect the PC to LAN2, I can ping the item that is connected to LAN1.
Hi,
Pinging the device is possible as long as it is in the same subnet. However, it will only display LAN devices that leased DHCP. For example, my PC obtained IP automatically. That’s why it will show under Status → Network → LAN. It should look something like this.
thank to answer
If my device has a static IP address, the RUT901 router won’t show that it is connected, right?
Hello,
Please, check the ARP table in Status → Routes → Static → ARP section. The table should display the MAC address, IP address, and the interface on which the device is connected. Keep in mind that the LAN interface is a virtual interface that includes all LAN ports and a WiFi network by default. So it will be hard to say on which port the device is connected.
Kind Regards,
RMS and the router’s web server show that the router is connected only to my home Wi-Fi.
I connected the Delta PLC to router LAN1 port.
Hello,
If the ARP table does not show the PLC, try pinging the PLC from System → Administration → Troubleshoot → Diagnostics page. After pinging, check if the device appears in the ARP table again.
Also, as for VPN Hubs, you can add a route to the device manually if the Auto Scan does not show the device.
You can either add a route to the PLC host directly, like:
192.168.8.10 255.255.255.255 via RUT901
Or to a whole network like:
192.168.8.0 255.255.255.0 via RUT901
Kind Regards,
Yeahhh, Finally, Router saw my PLC than you very much
Now all that’s left is to create an OpenVPN tunnel and connect remotely to the controller, but I’ll save the fun for later tonight
