IPSEC up but not working after reboot

Hi,

I have a working setup with RUTX10 that creates a IPSec to a Palo Alto firewall.
However when I reboot / or load a config from a back the IPSec tunnel status is connected but no traffic is passing.

When I do not change anything but just hit the save & apply button. Traffic starts flowing.
Is this a bug?
I have dpd enabled so that is not the answer. Anyone got an idea?

Update: It seems that after reboot my static routes for the VPN are missing.

Hitting the save and apply buttons adds them back again? Why would default routes not be registered after a reboot?

Hello,

Could you please specify which firmware version is currently installed on your RUTX10? If it is not the latest stable version (7.21.3), please download it from the following link and update the device: RUTX10 Firmware Downloads - Teltonika Networks Wiki

After the update, please let me know if the issue still persists.

Best regards,

Hi,

I encountered the same case as you. The solution is to leave the IPv4 Gateway blank.
The static route still shows after rebooting the device or reconnecting the VPN tunnel.

I was running the latest version.
The no gateway solution worked however don’t really understand why.

Greetings,
