I am currently facing issues with some router answering to “admin_password monitoring_status” command but not the classical command "admin_password status ".
Is there another command using uci to interrogate the router to kno which is its model ?
More generally, where can we find all the instances that could bet interrogated through the command"admin_password uci show/get instances" ?
We strongly encourage all of our customers to upgrade their firmware, as it often resolves issues and bugs effortlessly while also providing valuable updates.
After firmware update, you can create your own sms rule, that would include the exact command to get modem model number.
Navigate to Services > Mobile Utilities > SMS utilities
On the bottom of the page, you will see the “Add rule” section. Enter “SMS text” that will be used in sms command (e.g. modem_model), choose the action type as “Send status”, and click the “Add” button on the right side and a new window will pop up for creating the custom rule.
After setting up the rule, send SMS message to router’s phone number:
admin_password modem_model
Finally, you should receive a reply from the router with the modem model number
Regarding UCI commands, the modem does not have a config file in the RutOS system, so there isn’t an existing UCI parameter to check modem information or configuration using the “uci show” command. Additionally, the available UCI parameters may vary depending on the RutOS firmware version you’re using.
