Interpreting lsusb on a RUTX50

Hi Teltonika,

It appears that you can derive if the modem on a RUTX50 is functioning / recoverable / unrecoverable, from the output of the lsusb command.

Could you let me know, the various ‘markers’ you are looking for, in your interpretation for a RUTX50.

I currently have a connection and my current lsusb output reads as …

Bus 002 Device 004: ID 2c7c:0800

The reason I’m trying to get better diagnostic commands is that yesterday, I had some issues that I addressed through multiple reboots, factory resets and device firmware re-loads. The end result after every step was slightly different in the system log (although I don’t understand what it’s telling me), and after each try, ranged from …

Hello Mike,

The lsusb command output lists the currently detected USB devices and can help determine if the modem is in EDL (Emergency Download) mode.

If one of the displayed USB devices ends with :9008, it indicates that the modem is in EDL mode, meaning it is still recoverable.

I hope this clarifies the use of the lsusb command.

P.S. Please make sure there’s no private information displayed when sharing logs.

Best regards,

Thank you … Mike
