I have a RUT956 and I need it to stay on for 1 hour after the ignition switch is off.
I found this Ignition detection solution - Teltonika Networks Wiki but it does not specify what hardware do I need.
This is what I think I need.

Diode 1N4001

Yes, a relay like this should work fine, just like any standard relay. Just make sure it’s a 12V relay if your vehicle operates on a 12V system, or a 24V relay if it operates on a 24V system.
Don’t forget a fuse.
