Hello:
I can’t add a Wi-Fi network to a RUTX, the IP doesn’t appear. I follow the instruction video but it is not possible to connect.
Thank you.
Hello,
Thanks for contacting Teltonika Networks’ technical support team.
If you want to create a basic Wi-Fi access point for other devices, follow these steps:
-
Connect to the WebUI.
-
Go to Network → Wireless → SSIDs
-
Press ADD near your desired Wi-Fi radio
-
Enable the instance
-
Make sure the Mode parameter (in the general setup section) is set to Access Point
-
Set the ESSID (the Wi-Fi name) and password
By default, a new Wi-Fi access point uses the LAN network’s interface. If you want to change that or create a new LAN interface for the new access point, then set the Network parameter accordingly. For a new LAN interface select the Auto (wifi*)
setting.
Additional settings can be found in their respective tabs on the left/top side of the configuration window.
- Press Save & Apply
After completing these steps, the router should provide a new basic Wi-Fi access point for other devices.
If you want to connect the router to an existing Wi-Fi, follow these steps:
-
Connect to the WebUI
-
Go to Network → Wireless → SSIDs
-
Press SCAN near your desired Wi-Fi radio
-
After the scan finishes press JOIN NETWORK near your desired Wi-Fi network
-
Enter the Wi-Fi password and press SUBMIT
-
You will see the Wi-Fi interface’s configuration. Make sure the Mode is set to Client.
-
If you do not want to change the received settings press Save & Apply.
-
You will see the new WAN interface’s settings. If you do not want to change the settings press Save & Apply.
After completing these steps, the router should receive internet connectivity from the Wi-Fi. In addition, you should see a new WAN interface (Network → WAN) and a new Wi-Fi interface (Network → Wireless → SSIDs).
