How to setup a failover between my internet provider acces ( fiber) and a 4G SIM

Hello,
I need some help to setup the failover on the RUTXR1.

I have a fiber acces with my provider, it’s the main acces, and if it fails i want to switch on the 4G SIM… until the fiber acces runs again.

I am not sure about the parameters i have set up

For the WAN it’s:

and for the 4G it’s :

I am not sure to understood what means " flush connections on …" and " reliability" .

I want to work with the WAN connection in priority ( it’s my fiber acces with my provider ), if it doesn’t work ( by the track IP 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 )…
the router will use the connection on the 4G SIM… and if the fiber acces ( WAN ) works again the router return on WAN connection .

Is it good to set up " flush connection on ( CONNECTED)" on the interface configuration ? or not ? for do what i want to do.

Today, my internet fiber acces was down, the RUTXR1 switch on the 4G sim, i could have internet acces with the 4G SIM during a little time ( and data 200/250 Mo ) , i have done a fast.com test and after nothing was working.

the RUTXR1 show in statuts for 4G SIMe " ONLINE" ( and offline for WAN) and in the 4G informations it was " connected" ( and i tried disconnect/connect ) but no internet:

And in 4G quality signal :

Thanks for your help

Hello,

In this case, you don’t need to select any additional option for flushing connections. The flush option established connections after the selected scenario occurs to renew the priorities of configured interfaces. Furthermore, you can leave other options (Reliability, Count, Up, Down) to default values. Reliability means the number of hosts that must reply for the test to be considered successful.

Regarding mobile 4G connection loss after the primary wired WAN was down, maybe you reached your ISP’s subscription data limit?

Additionally, more information on RUTX1 Failover’s functionality and configuration can be found here.

Feel free to reach out if you require any additional assistance.

Best Regards,
