RUT200 RUT2M_R_00.07.21.3 : As my SIM card has not static IP, I have to send commands to router with SMS (sms utilities rules ). I’d like to get responses sent to emails instead of SMS ; I tried to use SMS Gateway to email, but get only copy of the SMS command in received emails. Is there a possibility to get responses sent to email ? thanks, alain
I’ve asked for this too because more and more data sims are becoming strictly data only and no longer allow the sending of text messages.
I don’t think it’s possible at the moment, i hoping that in a future firmware update it will become possible.
Greetings,
Apologies for the delayed response.
Unfortunately, this feature is not currently supported. However, there are several possible workarounds, depending on the SMS commands you are using.
If you are sending SMS commands to monitor status changes, you can configure Event Juggler to send an email whenever a specific event occurs. More information can be found here: RUT200 Event Juggler - Teltonika Networks Wiki
Alternatively, you can use our Remote Management System (RMS), which does not require a public IP address. RMS allows you to manage devices whenever they have an internet connection, including changing settings, accessing devices remotely, and performing other management tasks. More information is available here: RMS - Teltonika Networks Wiki
If you need to trigger a command via SMS but require the response to be delivered by email, you can create a custom SMS Utility script that gathers the required system information and sends it via email
For guidance on sending emails from a script, please refer to the article here: Sending emails via command line - Teltonika Networks Wiki
Scripts examples can be found here: User Scripts examples - Teltonika Networks Wiki
Please note that writing and debugging custom scripts is outside the scope of standard technical support.
Best Regards,
Justinas
Great!
thanks a lot
