Hi all. This is the situation: a garage under the house and a ground floor. I need to install a switch in the garage to expand a network (think of PV-inverter, home-battery, EV-charger etc…). I already have a single Cat6 cable that goes through the conduit between the two floors, and there is absolutely NO ROOM left in it for any extra cable. My question is: can I install a second switch on the ground floor and connect the two via this single Cat6 cable in oder to extend my home network? I’ve discovered words like cascading, clustering, stacking, but it’s not clear to me if any of these solutions would work for me ?
