I’m trying to set up DMVPN between our devices. I have set up everything as described here RUTX DMVPN - Teltonika Networks Wiki but the connection doesn’t establish.
I can’t find any information how to chech the status, logs of DMVPN or how to do some diagnostics.
I was able to solve this. The problem is that you need to specify a tunnel source in the GRE parameters configuration. If you leave it to “any” it doesn’t work:
My question now is how to achieve WAN failover - If I specify the tunnel source in the GRE parameters configuration VPN will only work when connected over the selected source - in case of WAN failover VPN will not work anymore…
Also one strange behavior regarding OSPF/NHRP - if a ping from site B an IP address that belongs to a network in site A and the IP address is not in use, the same IP address gets advertised to other routers as part of the site B in the OSPF routing table. Any idea why this happens?
Thank you for sharing the workaround that helped you resolve the initial issue.
Regarding DMVPN together with WAN failover, this functionality is currently unavailable, but it is planned to be implemented with the upcoming 7.17 release.
As for the OSPF/NHRP behavior, could you kindly clarify this part a bit further? It’s possible there might be connected routes that are not being properly redistributed, causing Site B’s route table to appear on other sites. Here, a bit more detail on your OSPF configuration and route redistribution settings would help to better understand and advise on this.
