How to connect RUT951 to a non-RUT router

Hello,

I have a RUT951 with two computers connected to it via LAN.
The RUT951 has no access to the network and has no SIM cards.

I have another router, a TP-Link, which is connected to Internet.

I would like to make the RUT951 connect to the TP-Link in order to give access to the network to the PC that are connected via LAN to the RUT951.

Is it possible to do that?

I tried to follow this guide: RUTOS relay / Wi-Fi extender / repeater / bridge configuration - Teltonika Networks Wiki but it seems to involve two Teltonika routers and, by the way, the procedure didn’t worked for me.

Can you help me, please?

Is it a complex process?

Hello,

Please ensure that you have followed all the steps without skipping any, and that each step has been completed correctly. The RUT951 should be capable of connecting to any WiFi network, not just Teltonika devices, and providing internet access to its LAN devices.

Please verify that all steps have been performed accurately and if the issue persists despite following the instructions, please provide additional details about where the problem arises.

Furthermore, you can supply internet to the RUTX50 via a WAN port using an Ethernet cable connected to your TP-Link router.

Best Regards,

Please, check my configuration file: http://www.robo-dyne.com/rut.gz

I followed all the steps as described in the tutorial, but I cannot understand why I get no connection.

Hello,

I’ll need to ask you to send me a troubleshoot file from the WebUI. You can find it at WebUI → System → Maintenance → Troubleshoot. This file will help me analyze the connection problem more thoroughly.

To ensure privacy and security, I’ve sent you a form to fill out. Once completed, we’ll be able to get in touch with you privately and assist you in resolving the issue. It’s important to note that the troubleshoot file may contain sensitive information, so handling it securely is crucial.

Best Regards,
