How to assign credit to device for RMS connection?

Hi, I have a RUT200 that was connected to RMS for trial connection. Now the period has finished and I bought one credit but I m not able to connect to RMS. how I can do it?
I want to connect to RMS as I want to monitor a camera connected to the LAN of the router. It it possible to monitor the video streaming via RMS?

Thanks Marco

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry.

To reconnect your RUT200 to RMS after purchasing a credit, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to RMS.
  2. Navigate to Administration → Companies.
  3. In the Companies table, click View company details for your company.
  4. Select the device you wish to assign the credit to and click Set pack under the Actions column.

Once the credit is assigned, your device should reconnect to RMS.

Regarding monitoring the camera connected to your router’s LAN via RMS, this is achievable using RMS VPN. You can create a secure VPN connection to access your camera remotely. For detailed instructions, please refer to our video configuration guide available in this wiki article:
RMS VPN Hubs.

If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out.

Hi Martynas,

which pack is suggested in order to monitor camera for videosuirvellance? I bought only 1 credit but you are speaking of pack. Can you please provide more info about it?

Thanks

Hello Marco,

Apologies for any misunderstanding and confusion. From your message, it seems that you’re unable to assign the purchased credit to your device. Could you please confirm if Auto Extend is enabled for the device?

Additionally, it would be very helpful if you could provide:

  • Screenshots from RMS device logs showing any errors related to credit usage or connectivity.
  • Screenshots from the router’s WebUI under Services → Cloud Solutions, with any sensitive information (such as Serial Number, MAC address, etc.) hidden.

This information will allow us to better understand the situation and troubleshoot the issue effectively.

Furthermore, to clarify:

  • RMS VPN primarily uses Company Data for video surveillance and remote access, while credits are mainly used for Monitoring, Management, and Configuration tasks.
  • You can find a detailed explanation of the difference between credits, management packs, connection data packs, and company data in this Wiki article.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,
