I recently for the RUT955, I factory reset and upgraded the firmware to:
Firmware version
RUT9_R_00.07.06.16
Firmware build date
2024-09-05 07:39:44
Internal modem firmware version
EC25EUGAR06A07M4G_01.001.01.001
Kernel version
5.4.259
I changed the SSID and password for the Wifi.
I added a 4G SIM, which on my phone gives 153Mbps Down and 40Mbps Up.
Putting the same SIM in the RUT 955 gives only 22Mbps Down and ~3Mbps Up.
Hi…
RUT950 it is a LTE CAT-4 device… so…
" LTE CAT4 is a high-speed connectivity standard capable of delivering download speeds up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds of 50 Mbps . (Google it)
But the signal quality is everything to reach the maximum speed and depends of mobile network capability.
From Google:
" Here are some ways to improve your LTE antenna signal:
Position the antenna
Place your antenna in the best location to receive the strongest signal, such as near a window or outside. Avoid obstructions like trees, walls, and buildings.
Use a directional antenna
A directional antenna can provide a stronger signal boost than an omnidirectional antenna. To aim the antenna, you can use an app to find the location of the nearest cell tower. Then, point the antenna in the direction of the tower and gradually adjust the position while monitoring the signal strength.
Use a signal booster
A signal booster can amplify your device’s signal by capturing it from outside and rebroadcasting it inside.
Check your phone
Make sure your phone’s software and apps are up to date. You can also try restarting your device, turning on airplane mode, or checking your phone for damage.
Switch carriers
Consider switching to a network provider with better coverage in your area.
"
Testing with my phone with the same SIM is in the same place, with the same setup (in fact probably a worse place) is 10 times quicker. So there shouldn’t be a concern about the SIM capability.
Does the connection screenshot look “good” connection wise?
