GPS not working

Hi there,

We have few rut which does not show gps map on the web UI. Services > GPS > MAP

This is the error message that we get.

Details:

  • Firmware version RUT9_R_00.07.06.5 or RUT9M_R_00.07.05.4

We have few devices whose gps is working fine with firmware version RUT9M_R_00.07.05.4.

Are there any troubleshooting steps that I can take?

Which RUT models exactly and can you update them to latest available firmware version first?

Hi, the model is: EC25-AU . I cannot update the firmware at this time as they are on site. Is it possible to retain all settings after firmware update?

I updated one of the units to the latest firmware version but gps is not displaying.

Which router model? RUT240 or RUT950 for example?

When upgrading the firmware you probably left “Keep Settings” ticked.
Can you try to factory reset one of these boxes with 07.06.13 and try again?

it is a RUT950 I did the factory reset, but it is still not showing the gps.
RUT9_R_00.07.06.13 is the current firmware version

Can you please go to the CLI window and run this command: gpsctl -p
This command will show how many satellites are visible at the moment and help us to investigate the issue you’re currently facing with!
