hi has anyone already connected TRM200 to a Fritzbox? Is the modem compatible with the fritzbox? Is there any teltonika modem that supports the Fritzbox with voicecall?
Greetings,
Our devices have VoIP passthrough option, which means that the device can pass the traffic. The device is not able to act as a VoIP endpoint (eg.: mobile phone).
Most of the time calls on our devices are used for alert options (eg.: certain action execution once the router receives a call), on the other hand, our router also can execute calls, which can be done via the command line via the use of scripts to send a trigger, but voice/audio traffic would not be possible in this scenario. Without a CDP (Custom Development Project), this exact scenario that you are referring to wouldn’t be possible; however, if you opt for a VoIP setup instead, then this would be doable, as our devices support SIP and H232 helpers.
TRM devices don’t have an operating system (in this case, for example, RutOS), meaning that you are unable to set something similar to what was mentioned above. I would suggest opting for an option such as TRB or RUT devices. Simply speaking, the device is not designed for high-level data protocols like VoIP.
Best regards,
Matas.
